Welcome to the Auberge des Arcades (Inn of the Arcades)
We are a (English) family run Hotel, Bar & Restaurant in the small working village of
Canet de Salars on the Lévézou plateau in the heart of the Aveyron department of SW France.
We are about 25 kilometers south of Rodez the Principle city of the Aveyron which is an area that is only just beginning to be discovered by French and English alike.
Its friendly people and gently rolling landscapes make it a must for those who yearn for the tranquility that England used to offer.
As tranquil and peaceful as the Aveyron may be, there is so much more to enjoy in this delightful region. The Aveyron is often referred to as the French Lake District and our Auberge is only 2 kilometers from the Lac de Pareloup, the largest of the 5 lakes on the Lévézou which offers sandy beaches and all kinds of water sports including sailing, canoeing, kayaking, windsurfing, water skiing, rowing, swimming and fishing.
The Aveyron is a great favorite with those who enjoy walking and bike riding through beautiful unspoilt countryside.
